Out in the heart of the wilds of Montana; 32 miles outside of Kalispell and Whitefish, in the heart of Flathead county; is a cozy and spacious little farm.

Old Man Redding owns the place, caring for his disfigured and ailing niece as she still recovers from the horrible fire four months ago. With the barn so quickly back up and working again, Redding has invited out only certain people to help him care for the 180 acres. More particularly the horses he has, and to help keep an eye on the wild horses and keep them save from the roaming wolves.

However, deep in the heart of the wild forest and the rolling Great Plains, nothing seems to be normal at all. "Being so surrounded by real life and not concrete affects a city mind. Plays tricks on it," he swears. But beneath his cover for the protection of his farm, some strange magic seems to swell and press at the secrecy, threatening to break out.

IC Area
Wild Spirits Ranch
[ ]Wild Spirits Ranch Entrance
This is the entrance to the ranch. A tall iron gate stands erect, with a hanging iron cutout of a pack of seven distinguishable horses racing across an open plain. A long dirt road leads to a small house and a cabin that is at least three times the size of the house, though it is nestled just inside the borders of a grove. Further out is the barn, the pens and sheds; and the rest of the fields, plains, forests, cliffs, foothills, mountainous regions and even Flathead Lake.

[All (PC) humans are required to post here first, to enter the ranch before they head into the barracks, barn, or any of the other areas. Unless, of course, you can obtain permission from an Administrator to enter from a DIFFERENT direction. X3]

[ ]The House (5 sub-boards)
This is the house at the Wild Spirits Ranch. Sleepy gray stone seems to swallow the cheer out of the old structure, even if it has been rebuilt to modern specifications. There seems to be an air of sadness and sorrows that hangs over the house. There are a pair of stuffed toys and a garden gnome sitting on the stone mailbox; a sorrowful reminder of what was lost in the fire.

Several signs on the fence that surround the house read "Do Not Enter," "No Trespassing," "Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again," and "Forget the Dog: Beware of Owner with Shotgun."

The only ones allowed in the house are Anna, Old Man Redding, and the two dogs. Anyone else runs the risk of death or exile from the ranch.

[ ]Redding Family Cemetery (3 sub-boards)
A small and haunted burial plot lies behind the house, with at least a dozen graves and one small mausoleum. It may seem harmless during the day, if a bit creepy; but at night, soft sobbing can be heard from the cemetery by anyone who ventures close enough.

[ ]The Barracks (2 sub-boards)
Here stands quite the sizable cabin, built years ago and remodeled to house staff and Riders. Old Man Redding jokingly calls it The Barracks, though no one is sure how it got the nickname.

Barnyard
[ ]The Barn (3 sub-boards)
Here stands the tall and proud barn with its chimney stacks to let the air in, its gleaming white roof and its dark hunter green planks. The barn, of course, is well kept, having been built only three months after the fire. Some of the neighbors swear that it was built over night, but that would just be superstitious, wouldn't it?
Moderators: Anpao, Howl
00
[ ]The Silo
A stand alone silo in the same deep hunter green with a white roof stands a hundred yards away from the barn. A massive six story structure, it's always stocked full and never short of plenty of feed.
Moderators: Anpao, Howl
00
[ ]The Paddock
This is the paddock, a three acre ring to stretch and to graze for the horses. At least, for a short after run or ride stretch, or while you go to fetch tack or brush your horses.
Moderators: Anpao, Howl
00
[ ]The Pen
A smaller half acre specialized paddock for the horses who are having a harder time behaving themselves, or are caught doing something naughty. Once in here, it's impossible to get out until a Rider or Old Man Redding decides to let you out.
00
[ ]The Tack Shack
The Tack Shack is a few yards from the Pen and the Paddock, standing in a rich hunter green to match the rest of the barnyard. It's actually about the size of a small house, housing rows of saddles, halters, bridles, reins, rider gear, and even other odds and ends necessary, like lassos and duck tape for those heavy duty jobs.
00
[ ]The Shed
On the other side of the Tack Shack is a shed, this time a solid white. It's half the size of the Tack Shack, but it still has various needed tools for just about everything, including extra materials for repairing just about anything on the farm.
00
[ ]The Fields
About 40 acres of rolling wheat, hay, barley, hops, and anything else a farm full of hungry animals and beer-loving riders would need to supplement themselves. The fields are cared for by workers, paid by the government to help keep the farm running. And of course, that doesn't include the other ten acres of covered greenhouse gardens, where most of the food is grown. Save for the beef, pork, chicken....
00
Flathead Lake & Flathead County Reservation
[ ]The Plains
The open and rolling plains have plenty of grass, mud, streams, and flowers in the spring. Winter yields and endless snowy delight, and always the occasional tree. The plains of course, are only broken up into meadows on the edges, near where the forests start.
00
[ ]The Forests (2 sub-boards)
A multitude of forest areas blend in from one to the next through here, included woods said to belong to the powerful spirits who protect it. It also is said to include The Forest of Stillness, wherein lies the Ring of Peace, where the Spirit Guardians who love, live, and dance in these lands convene for treaties, secret meetings, and celebrate.
00
[ ]Flathead Lake -- Northern Shore
The Northern Shore of Flathead Lake, protected by the wild horses and Wild Spirits Ranch. Here, and also on the western bank, are a multitude of huckleberry bushes, sweet and fat with berries in the summer and fall. Do beware, though.... Bears adore these bushes.
00
[ ]Flathead Lake -- Western Shore
The Western Shore of Flathead Lake, protected by the wild horses and Wild Spirits Ranch. Here, and also on the northern bank, are a multitude of huckleberry bushes, sweet and fat with berries in the summer and fall. Do beware, though.... Bears adore these bushes.
00
Wolf Territory
[ ]The Wolves' Forest
This is all Wolf and Wolf Spirit Guardians territories, including a Den, nestled right in the heart of the thick woods that span the mountains. Unfortunately, this area is just off of the southeast corner of the plains, nestled right between the plains and the Barn, bordering the short path to the Eastern Shore of Flathead Lake.
00
[ ]The Den
The Wolves' Den, where the young are raised and the family comes together to feed on kills, plan raids, hunts, and even future litters. Nothing that comes in here without being a wolf itself ever leaves.... Without their permission.
00
Cougar Territory
[ ]Cougar Cliffs
The mountainous and treacherously beautiful cliffs spanning the mountain ridge to the north of the Plains. All who enter he should beware. Here is where the Cougars dwell, coming down to hunt in others' territories and to raid the farm for a cow or two....
00
[ ]The Lion's Den
The Lion's Den is the main cougar den, which is the residence for a very old Cougar named Mukue. For some reason, he keeps the other Spirit Guardians in check, making sure that all his offspring are reporting in once a week. Oddly enough, three stay around, exhibiting strange pack-like behavior....
00
Bear Territory
[ ]Huckleberry Brambles
The Huckleberry Brambles are prime bear territory, located on the shores of Flathead Lake, as well as plenty of Flathead Cherry Trees. Do be careful.... The bears tent to be quite defensive about their food, so don't get caught gorging.
00
[ ]The Great Bear Cave
If you've ever seen the movie, Wild America, this is exactly what it sounds like. A massive cave, in which all the bears curl up and hibernate or just plain sleep, laugh, love or live together. Normally not known for their pack mentality, in this cave is where they and the Spirit Guardians show their true nature.

[ ]Shop, Store, and Restaurant Basic Information and Rules
Here are the basic rules and information needed to know how to work on this board section and also what to do to pick up your desired items.

After all, it is fun to have a fairly live system where not only can you earn wages, you can spend the money on fun things and cheap McDonald's, if it hits your fancy. XD
00
[ ]Restaurants (14 sub-boards)
Here are the listings, addresses, and menus for the local restaurants around Kalispell. Though it's not a big city, it does have its small range of restaurants, conglomerate fast food joints, and even a grocery store or two. (Don't forget to read the purchase notice put up at the top of this forum, please. Thanks!)

[ ]Bars and Pubs (4 sub-boards)
Numerous bars and pubs are listed here and all of the prices are generally the same. However, most are just beers, ales and whiskeys. There is only one place in town that serves the fancy city drinks. Well, what do you expect from a little town in Montana?

[ ]Furniture and Decor Stores (3 sub-boards)
Think your room looks like crap, except those few posters you brought from home? Did your horse accidentally break your bed? Then go ahead and save up just a bit and stop in the Furniture and Decor Shops! Give your space some bling-bling!
Moderator: Anpao
00
[ ]Car Dealers (3 sub-boards)
Even if it is a small town, the farmers out here rely on having a good vehicle or somewhere close to get a good vehicle. And because of it, there are a few places about town with ranging prices. After all, when you did arrive on the ranch, you were flown in through Great Falls and took a bus, taxi, or hitched a ride in....

[ ]Department, Electronics, and Clothing Stores (9 sub-boards)
Need some new duds? Seat of your pants worn out with too much riding or need a new outfit for a date? There's something here for everyone. And not just clothes, odds and ends, toiletries, shoes.... Even some other odds and ends, like TVs, Laptops, Computers, DVDs, CDs, and other odds and ends. Same rules apply. Read the notice first, please. ^_^

[ ]Antiques and Entertainment Stores (6 sub-boards)
Here are the book stores, novelty stores, and an antique shop or two. Looking for a different or special gift? Jewelry stores are here, too.

[ ]Delivery Detailers
Delivery Detailers is the local non-government delivery service that services parts of Canada and most of Montana. They deliver most of Wild Spirit's Supplies, bought from the Western Outdoor Store.

However, they do deliver other merchandise for a price, especially if one does not want to haul a huge load of shopping.
